Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I modify the firmware of my Guitar?

Orders #675 and up: Your guitar uses a customized build of Santroller called “760 Creations Guitar Utility” that you can download here. IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THIS UTILITY FOR ANY GUITARS BELOW ORDER #675!!! IT WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY!

Orders #674 and below: Your guitar uses the predecessor software to Santroller, called “Guitar Configurator”. It is highly recommended that you upgrade to Santroller, but you should NOT use my customized Santroller build. This is because the mapping on guitars #675 and up are completely different from previous orders. You can download standard Santroller here.

Q: What platforms do your guitars work on?

My guitars are optimized for use on PC, but are compatible with other consoles (permitting your guitar has an auth port, which orders #680 and below do not).

Orders #681 and up: Xplorers will work on both stock and RGH Xbox 360 Consoles with no auth port (for RGH you will have to disable auth in 760 Creations Guitar Utility). All other guitar models (excluding SG) will now include an auth port in the battery slot/wiimote slot for you to plug an auth controller into.

Q: Do all of your guitars function the same?

Yes! No matter the body/console type, all of my guitars function exactly the same. Some models do lack directional pads, however.

Q: Do your guitars come with tilt for star power?

Yes! My guitars come with a ball tilt sensor for Star Power. It is not as precise as the mercury sensors used in stock guitars, so you may have to tilt a bit more aggressively.

Q: Do your guitars still have detachable necks?

Unfortunately, the only models that retain their detachable necks are the World Tour guitars. The Les Paul and Kramer use a very poor pogo pin system that gets damaged easily, while the GH5 guitar uses an incompatible connector. This means all of my guitars (besides World Tour) are hardwired.

Q: I want to change the faceplate on a guitar I bought from you. How do I do that?

You will always be best off opening up your guitar to change the faceplate on hardwired necks. For non-hardwired necks (World Tour/GH5), you can simply remove the neck.

Q: How often do you stock guitars?

Restocks occur on Sunday’s at 12:30 PM EST. Make sure to check the announcement bar at the top of the website to see if there will be a restock that weekend or not, as well as what guitar models will be stocked. I cannot stock every model of guitar each restock, as I do not have stock of everything at all times.

Q: Can I pre-order a guitar?

Nope! We’re just not quite there yet. Demand is so high that the wait list would be unrealistic.

Q: Will more models be available in the future?

Yes!

Q: How do I know if my order went through?

You will recieve an order confirmation email from Squarespace.

Q: Do you ever plan to offer LED Frets?

Nope! LED’s take a lot to implement, and I already have enough workload as it is producing guitars. I can however refer you to my friend KatanaMods! Follow his Twitter for regular updates

Q: How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated by UPS at checkout based on the weight, box size, and where it’s being shipped to.

Q: When will you start shipping outside the US?

International Shipping will come when I find a good way to do it!

Q: Can I send you my own guitar to fix instead of buying a new one?

Not currently, but hopefully in the future :)

Q: Will you offer kits in the future so I can make my own guitar?

I currently do not have plans to offer kits, but I can vouch for kits from PhunkyCustoms and RetroCultMods.

Q: If I want to buy specific parts from you will you sell them to me?

Unless you are an existing customer, no.

Q: Will you ever upload your models and/or PCB’s for download or sell the files?

This is a question I get a lot, and the answer is no. I have spent countless hours and tons of money working on the parts for all of my guitars, learning many new skills and performing tons of research and development. Please understand that these are my intellectual property and I have no intentions to open source them any time in the future.

Q: I bought a guitar from you but there is a problem. Where do I contact you?

Please refer to the contact page on this website! If you try to contact me on any other platform, I am less likely to see it. I always want to make sure my guitars work exactly as intended.
